Happy 2009!

We hope everyone had a blessed holiday season.  Numerous requests from soldiers were sent to us and we are grateful that, together with the generous support of many companies and individuals, we were able to help out several deserving military families.

Here is a letter we recently received from the wife of a soldier we were able to fly home:

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to thank you again for arranging Jason’s flight home.  Unfortunately, my father passed away on Thanksgiving but because you had already made flight plans for him, American Airlines allowed him to fly out of Florida on Thanksgiving with no additional cost.  I don’t think we would have been able to get him home without those plans already in place.

He was able to be here with us during a very hard time and the Army let him stay until December 27th.  So our holiday didn’t go quite as planned – it was a blessing that he could be here at all.

Thank you and your organization again for everything.  I have attached a picture of Jason with his sisters Grace (back) and Molly (front) for your website if you want to use it.

Forever Grateful,
Barbara Whittaker

Resale Center & Brandon’s Soldier Store

Just a reminder that we are continually taking donations for our Resale Center in Plano: 2540 K Ave | Suite 200 | Plano, TX 75074. This is a place where soldiers can receive any items they need free of charge. More information can be found under “OPERATION LOGISTICS-DROP” on our Special Ops page.

Also, Brandon’s Soldier Store, where soldiers can also receive donated goods, will be opening soon in Fort Hood. We are putting a grant together for a million dollars that will be submitted in March to help make this happen. More information about Brandon Barta, his legacy and the store can be found on Brandon’s Million Dollar Wii site.
