Operation Once in a Lifetime’s 2nd Annual Remembrance trip to the 9/11 Memorial was an amazing opportunity for these U.S. Service Members, Veterans and First Responders. The video created from this year’s trip is truly the most impactful video we have ever created during our 15 years supporting our Military.

Operation Once in a Lifetime helped create a truly memorable moment for a Veteran who lost a brother-in-arms when he was severely wounded in combat.
This amazing moment happened during Operation Once in a Lifetime’s Annual Closure Trip where we bring Veterans and Active Military to Arlington National Cemetery to pay their respects to their fallen brothers and sisters.

Operation Once in a Lifetime loves random acts of kindness and this is one of the greatest acts we have been able to do for such an amazing gentleman!

Nate is a Vietnam Veteran who was showing a fellow Veteran, who happened to be the President of Operation Once in a Lifetime, at his gym a picture of a soldier he served with who was killed next to him when he was wounded himself in Vietnam.

When asked if he had ever been to the Vietnam Wall in DC to pay his respects to his fallen brother, he said he had not. Actually Nate has not even flown in 50 years.
So in true Operation Once in a Lifetime fashion, he was invited right there on the spot to our Annual Closure Trip. What happened while on the trip brought everyone to tears at the Vietnam Wall/ Memorial.

As the large group of Veterans attending this year’s trip started to surround Nate to take a group picture, they actually had a surprise in store for him…

Motorcycle Raffle

Every year Operation Once in a Lifetime is invited by one of our biggest supporters Jack Daniel’s to the largest bike rally in the world in Sturgis, South Dakota. We often raffle off a motorcycle that benefits our annual Closure Trip to Arlington National Cemetery, as well as our annual Remembrance Trip to the 9/11 Memorial. This year we are setting aside half of all the raffle sales to also support a family currently fighting cancer.

There are two ways to help:

1. Make a tax deductible donation.
2. Purchase a raffle ticket to win this motorcycle, which will be raffled off August 11th in Sturgis, SD! Raffle tickets are $15 each or 5 for $50. You do not need to be present to win. Winner must pick up bike in Sturgis, SD or Plano, TX. Only 3,000 tickets total can be sold and tickets are numbered 1-3000. Drawing will also be aired live on Operation Once in a Lifetime’s Facebook page.
